There is no denying the superstar of Mollywood, Mohanlal, has a sizable fan base. The actor has a large list of movies that are in fact promising for the years 2023–2024, so let's look at some of the reasons why this would be the star Mohanlal's best year ever.

Malaikottai Vaaliban

One of  the best filmmaker in the business, Lijo José Pellissery, and Mohanlal are finally working together on a commercial movie. One of Mollywood's most eagerly anticipated films, Malaikottai Vaaliban, a high-budget historical drama directed by Lijo José Pellissery, is scheduled to arrive in theatres in 2023.

The film, which begins production in January 2023, will spend a significant amount of time shooting in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. It will also star Danish Sait, Sonalee Kulkarni, and Rajpal Yadav in addition to Mohanlal.

For the next action thriller Ram, Mohanlal will collaborate once more with Jeethu Joseph, the director of Drishyam. According to reports, the film, in which the actor plays the title role of Ram Mohan IPS, centres on a string of murders that take place around the globe.

Ram, which had been put on hold because of the epidemic and lockdown, got rolling once more in September of this year. The film, which stars Trisha Krishnan as the main, will be released in two parts.

Barroz

A 3D children's fantasy movie with a large budget, Barroz: The Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, is Mohanlal's first film to be directed. The movie is rumoured to be the actor's most costly to date. The plot centres on 300-year-old Barroz, a man who was guarding Vasco D'Gama's riches in order to transfer it to that man's legitimate descendant.

The main characters of the movie are Barroz and an Isabella. Mohanlal and TK Rajeevkumar also co-wrote the script for Barroz, which is anticipated to have a pan-Indian release. For the follow-up to their 2019 hit film, Lucifer, actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal will soon rejoin. By the first half of 2023, the L2: Empuraan project is anticipated to begin construction.
