A 4 am release of a big star serves as our introduction to this planet. Just minutes into the show, the film surprisingly leaks online, which causes the film’s producer to commit suicide. The producers’ council is under a ton of strain right now, especially since ‘Adhiradi Star’ Adithya’s’ 300-crore film Garuda, which is scheduled for release in 10 days, is also in jeopardy. The threat turns into a reality as TamilRockerz says they would leak the movie one day ahead of time.
ACP Rudra (Arun Vijay) is chosen by DIG Sandeep to lead a special team that includes cyber forensic officer Sandhya (Vani Bhojan), cyber crime SI Bhanu (Vinodhini), and inspector Nelson (Vinod) in order to track down TamilRockerz and stop Garuda from being leaked online. The Tamilrockers are doing this for what reason? How is Arun Vijay attempting to halt this? What significant role does money play? Are the remainder of the narrative.
Arun Vijay does a good job of handling the trauma he was supposed to. Build, appearance, attitude, and a dash of arrogance. You support the actor because of how well he performs the first part of his story. Vani Bhojan exhibits promise as Rudhra’s potential coworker, while Ishwarya Menon is seen as Rudhra’s wife. Despite her character Sandhya losing some of its initial potential after a while, Vani Bhojan makes for a likeable Sandhya.
Tamilrockerz is a daring attempt to present an insider’s perspective of the negative aspects of the film business. The ramifications of digital piracy and how it impacts both big fish and tiny fish are successfully captured. The protagonist Rudra’s writing and the way the narrative weaves his arc, however, are the series’ main weaknesses. Rudra’s opening scene is a complete mess. The sequence is intended to demonstrate how vicious Rudra is, going above and beyond the call of duty to exact justice.
It is pretty amazing how Tamilrockerz was handled by a filmmaker like Arivazhagan, who is renowned for his suspenseful thrillers despite the weak writing. It piques your interest, but not to the point where you become emotionally committed in the narrative. The show has a fantastic cast and a fantastic premise, but it seems to have stumbled between conception and execution. Vikas Badisa’s music is excellent. Rajasekhar’s cinematography is nicely done. On their first series, AVM Productions has invested much. The depth is apparent throughout. Given that the show is slow-paced in many places and demands patience, the editing could have been more precise.
