As a result of Aisha, an elderly woman, hitting a youngster in a fit of rage, the ongoing argument between the two neighbors takes a bad turn. When the child’s parents file a lawsuit and more parties are involved, the situation, which was stoked by the other neighbor, becomes out of hand. For Aisha and her family, the case has significant repercussions as well, particularly given how long the legal process has dragged it out.

Plot

The heart and spirit of the movie, Devi Varma makes a stunning debut as Aisha, displaying strength even when she is at her most vulnerable and never allowing the quick-to-judge world to see this.

Performance

The actor who plays her son, Sujith Sankar, delivers yet another strong portrayal as a man torn between what to do in dire situations. In his three phases of playing Britto, actor Binu Pappu is given a role with plenty of room for performance. In the movie’s second half, Lukman is given some fantastic situations that he thoroughly performs.

Performance

Operation Java marked Tharun Moorthy’s directing debut, and his story once more focuses on a problem. But the problem does not stand out like it did in his debut. Instead, an effort is made to represent the feelings of those who are dealing with these issues. Saudi Vellakka chooses a more realistic, performance-focused storytelling over the former’s fashionable, urban atmosphere.

Direction / Technical Side

The Saudi Vellakka case is a textbook illustration of how an ingrained bias may cause trouble. In a manner, Saudi Vellakka is Tharun’s method of making a bold statement against toxic cancel culture, the propensity of some people to assume the worst about others without conducting a comprehensive background investigation. Sharan Velayudhan’s cinematography uses static frames and handheld shots to capture legal proceedings and stressful circumstances.

Direction / Technical Side

This time, Tharun Moorthy opts for a storytelling style that is more performance-oriented and genuine. A classic example of how ingrained bias can lead to problems is the Saudi Vellakka case. Devi Varma, who portrays Aisha and serves as the movie’s soul and heart, makes a magnificent acting debut. Overall, the movie has a strong emotional impact making it a good watch!
