The protagonists of this film are Rajeevan, a local officer, Suraj, a prospective singer who attends Payyannur College, and Anusree, his mother. Suraj is in a romance with his college mate. However, Rajeevan had a relationship on the campus that never developed.
The situation changed dramatically when Rajeevan and Suraj learned that Anusree had once been involved in a romantic relationship. But none of them have given the homemaker any consideration in their hectic lives. Is she a real person or merely a “wife”? Pranaya Vilasam advances because the father and son are curious to learn about Anu’s love. In order to find Anu’s past love, the father and son duo reconnect.
The trio of Anaswara Rajan, Arjun Ashokan, and Mamitha Baiju, whom we last met in the campus movie Super Sharanya, reunites, but the campus storylines set in two separate eras are only a small portion of the narrative. All throughout, the acting is proficient. Arjun Ashokan is portraying Romeo in his typical guise, which serves as a safe haven for him.
Apart from Anaswara and Hakkim, the performance that surpasses that comes from Manoj, hereby giving Rajeevan just the perfect amount of hesitation to make him less of an outright creep and more of a frustrated person languishing in middle-aged angst. It is vital to keep in mind Manoj KU, Sarath Sabha, and Mamitha Baiju’s performances.
In Pranaya Vilasam, Nikhil Murali and his colleagues fervently celebrate the newness, vitality, and romance of first love. The movie’s poignant scenes, which are related to the gap that Anu left in the hearts of the those she treasured the most, are its greatest assets. In Pranaya Vilasam, people want resolution, and people work to make that happen.
The writers Sunu AV and Jothish M explore those themes with a hint of nostalgia in two of the love stories in the movie that deal with lost love. In Pranaya Vilasam, the tragic romances are mixed with a lighthearted story without necessarily making fun of them. And to be honest, that strategy is what makes this movie compelling.
It has been masterfully brought to life by Nikhil and his talented technical crew, which includes a composer of music, a cameraman, an editor, and a colorist. Shaan Rahman’s musical compositions add color to the movie and their love story. Brilliant cinematography was done by Shinoz.
In Pranaya Vilasam, the sad love stories are combined with a humorous narrative. Every age group could enjoy this slice-of-life film because it has several layers. Despite having a few minor flaws, the movie successfully blends connections between generations.
