Performance

Vijay Sethupathi again has given a solid performance in Maamanithan, he has given life to Radhakrishnan effortlessly. He made everyone feel the discipline and love of a young man, and it connected easily with the real-life of many.

Performance

Gayathrie, who plays Vijay Sethupathi’s wife in this realistic drama, has given the best performance till date. The actress has stayed true to the character with her subtle performance

Direction/ Technical Side

The first half features some of the best filmmaking in this director’s films, with one scene smoothly flowing into the next. Even the most dramatic moments are presented in a naturalistic manner, which makes us feel closer to the characters and empathise with the situations that they find themselves in.

Direction/ Technical Side

Second half is moreover predictable, but Director tries to keep the scenes more realistic & non-preachy. Sukumar’s cinematography was good, but the music & BGM from Ilayaraja & Vijay Sethupathi was not upto the mark.

"Director Seenu Ramasamy has put his heart & Soul to this film and made this as realistic as possible; which is backed by Solid Performance from Vijay Sethupathi & Gayathrie. A Feel Good Movie for Family Audience" 3.5/5
