PERFORMANCE

Vikram has consistently taken on challenging roles. Vikram ended up being the movie’s heart and soul. He carried the movie on his shoulders as he executed his part with ease. He is cast in a dual-toned character, and he excels at it. The lead hero delivers excellent performances in each of the hallucinatory situations. He effortlessly performed several parts and displayed a range of emotions and moods.

PERFORMANCE

In the first half, Srinidhi Shetty does well in a good role. Irfan Pathan makes a respectable debut and does a good job as a cop. Despite not having much of an impact on the movie, he did a respectable job. The flashback features a cool role for Mrunalini Ravi, who is excellent. Roshan Mathews receives a negative role and performs admirably. KS. Ravikumar does a good job in his role, and everyone else delivered played their parts accordingly.

Direction /  Technical Side

Cobra is divided into two distinct parts, with the second half carrying the plot in a completely different direction. More of our protagonist’s thoughts and how he interacts with reality are revealed to us. His internal struggles make him more relatable, and Vikram seizes the chance to showcase his acting prowess. But the elements that made the first half of this movie so entertaining aren’t explored further.

Direction /  Technical Side

There is a struggle to locate an anchor for its narration as the movie starts to try too many different approaches and with so many open canons in play. The twists and turns become too predictable, and some of the sequences even become a little too tiresome to sit through.

Direction /  Technical Side

The film’s excruciating duration is one of its main flaws. The second half of the story drags on, boring the audience. The tale is also very unclear and leaves the audience with a lot of questions. The production value of the movie is extravagant. Rich production design can be found. The action choreography and cinematography are both of the highest caliber. The excellent music and BGM by AR Rahman are yet another significant plus.

Verdict; A convoluted narration makes Vikram’s Cobra, which has the potential to be an intriguing thriller, a tedious and protracted viewing. As the story continues, hallucinations, flashbacks, mother and brother sentiments, and other things are added, making it less interesting. 2.5/5
