Direction / Technical Side

The movie’s script is incredibly dated and lacking in both punch and originality. A few moments are over the top and don’t seem credible. On paper, they look good, but the director struggles with the execution. Even though the majority of what happens is predictable, the hero’s attitude, dialogue, and intensity keep one riveted to the action.

Direction / Technical Side

A personal thread regarding marriage and wife is presented amid all of these. It seems so formulaic and calculated. It goes without saying that it always has a speed breaker effect on the whole movie. The work of the technicians is distinguished by the cinematography. A particular richness is provided by the wide frames and top-angle images. Although filmmaker Pradeep Varma had good intentions, he makes a mediocre job with his narration, which is hardly interesting.

Verdict; The overall impression of “Alluri” is that it is a conventional cop drama with a predictable plot, although having its moments. If the director had created a more compelling screenplay, the whole scope of the film would have been increased. 2.5/5
