The trailer for one of the most anticipated movies of the year, Thuramukham, directed by Rajeev Ravi, has been released. The trailer looks promising and gives us some insight into the main character. The film stars Nivin Polly, Nimisha Sajayan, Joju George, Indrajit Sukumaran, Sudev Nair, Darshana Rajendran and Arjun Ashokhan. After many delays, finally Nivin Pauly and Rajeev Ravi’s film Thuramukham is ready for release. The film hits theaters on June 3rd. Set between 1923 and 1957, the film tells the story of dockers in Kochi’s Mattansherry area and the “chappa”, an inhumane metal token system in which dockers are given jobs by dock bosses. ” is a story of protest and struggle against the system. Nivin Pauly plays a rebel worker named Mattancherry Moideen in this film.

After a five-year hiatus, Rajeev Ravi will make a comeback in the film. The critically praised super success Kammatti Paadam (2016), with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, was his final film as a filmmaker. Rajeev Ravi doubles as the cinematographer for Thuramukham. The film, which was made by Sukumar Thekkepat under the name Thekkepat Films, had its global premiere at the esteemed Rotterdam International Film Festival (IFFR).
