Gist of the Story
Lieutenant Ram, an orphan soldier, experiences a transformation in his life after receiving a letter from Sita. After he meets her, they fall in love. He writes a letter to Sita that won’t get to her when he returns to his camp in Kashmir.
Plot
At a university in London, Afreen (Rashmika Mandanna) represents Pakistan’s student body as president. Due to her grandfather’s directive in his will, she agrees to deliver a letter to Sita Mahalakshmi (Mrunal Thakur). She accepts the job despite not like it in order to receive her fair portion of her grandfather’s estate. Lieutenant Ram (Dulquer Salmaan) addresses Sita in the letter. Which Ram is this? Do you know Sita Mahalakshmi? What is the relationship between Ram and the grandpa of Afreen? Watch the film to know the answers.
Performance
Dulquer Salmaan’s portrayal of the role of Ram seems to be a perfect fit for him, and he uses all of his charisma to do so. With Sita Ramam, the actor once more demonstrates his value. Lieutenant Ram’s personality is given life by him. His screen presence is outstanding, and he has nice looks. He does a fantastic job of delivering both the romantic and the emotional passages. There is no denying that Mrunal Thakur gave one of the most endearing performances by a female lead in recent memory. Her multi-layered character appears entirely plausible because to her expressive eyes, lovely smile, and elegant appearance. The movie Sita Ramam is one of Rashmika Mandanna’s finest ones. When given the opportunity to portray a self-centered character with preconceived views, she plays it deftly and demonstrates that she is willing to accept roles that are well-written despite not being presented as an attractive person. Sumanth’s character journey has been expertly written. Despite the fact that this is a love story, the movie contains a few significant turns that are worth noting.
Direction/Technical Side
A love story by Hanu Raghavapudi is one that won’t be over till it’s over. In doing so, he creates uncertainty. We remain interested without becoming clamorous because of the tension in the way the romance between Ram and Sita develops. This movie is excellent at fusing suspense with jaw-dropping execution. The quality of the products is excellent. The film’s producers made excellent use of their budget, which is readily apparent on screen. Renowned artists were recruited for the picture, even for lesser roles, which gave it a lot of value. The images are captivating. Photographers PS Vinod and Shreyas did an amazing job of capturing the many places that were included in the movie. Well done on the capture of the gorgeous Kashmir. Vishal Chandrasekhar’s well-timed musical cues have definitely improved the movie. Even while songs impede the development of the plot, they manage to grab our attention with captivating imagery. The movie moves slowly in the opening act. The true plot was introduced more slowly by the director. Even if the story is well-set up, it consumes more screen time. In order to maintain the pace of the movie, the editing team may have done a better job by cutting the length.
Verdict; The movie has an average first half and a fantastic second half. Both visually gorgeous and technically sound describes Sita Ramam. Watch it for the final part of the film, the chemistry between Dulquer and Mrunal, and the gorgeously composed scenes by Hanu Raghavapudi
