Gist of the Story

Advocate Mukundan Unni, strives for success and does everything in his power to further his career and win respect from his peers. But this steadfastness, along with a healthy helping of avarice, has a price.

Plot

A struggling lawyer named Adv. Mukundan Unni previously assisted a well-known attorney as a junior. At one point, he is fired from his work because of his excessive intelligence, and he then chooses to practice alone. Mukundan Unni learns the income potential of insurance settlement cases during a medical visit for his mother’s checkup. Unni, who had this failing ambition of becoming wealthy before the age of 30, made the decision to seize onto this dangerous yet quick method of making money. In Mukundan Unni Associates, he demonstrates the obstacles he must overcome and how he will do it.

Performance

Vineeth, the actor-director, demonstrates his ability to play characters with negative undertones yet having an outward appearance of being kind and gentle. He effectively conveys the feelings that are concealed beneath the steely smile. With Mukundan Unni Associates, Suraj Venjaramood returns to his comical undertone. He does an outstanding job the entire time. As a man with modest aspirations, Sudhi Koppa portrays him admirably. Meenakshi, a wickedly charming figure created by Arsha Baiju, defies all expectations of a second heroine. The actress gives an endearing performance.

Direction / Technical Side

Mukundan Unni Associates does not take a predictable turn right away; instead, it is unabashedly gray, which helps it stay true to the genre. The movie’s co-writer, Vimal Gopalakrishnan, and director Abhinav Sunder Nayak have portrayed their lead character as a despicable, self-centered sociopath. The movie doesn’t feel packed or forced despite juggling numerous layers. The film is not without flaws. In some places, it slows down. It becomes a little long and goofy as well. It is mostly entertaining, despite its shortcomings. The film is competently produced, with good cinematography and editing. It gives the presentation just as much thought as the performances.

Verdict; Mukundan Unni Associates, is a successful attempt at making an entertaining film with their lead character as a despicable, self-centered sociopath. The film definitely has its own share of flaws, but the comedies & quirky treatment manage to hold the film uptight, leaving the audience in splits. A deliciously wicked dark comedy.
