On March 29, in the Chennai Jawaharlal Nehru indoor stadium, the much anticipated Ponniyin Selvan-2 or PS-2 trailer and music were unveiled. Both Mani Ratnam’s PS-1 and PS-2 are based on Kalki’s seminal work “Ponniyin Selvan,” which is the subject of PS-2. The multilingual 2022 prequel was well received by critics and audiences alike, and it finished on a positive note. It has a cast made up of A-listers from different Indian cinema industries. Kamal Haasan unveiled the second installment’s trailer. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, and other members of the whole cast of the movie were present.

The protagonist of the story is Vanthiyathevan, played by actor Vikram, who visits the Chola kingdom to hand over a letter from crown prince Aditya Karikalan, played by actor Karthi. The plot then centers on what happens after that. Nandini and Chola princess Kundavai Pirattiyar, respectively, are being portrayed by Aishwarya Rai and Trisha. Princess Vaanathi, who is close friends with Kundavai, is portrayed by Sobhita Dhulipala. She is from a minor kingdom. Arulmozhi Varman, also known as Ponniyin Selvan and eventually Raja Raja Chola, will be portrayed by Jayam Ravi in this play. Ponniyin Selvan 2 is presented by Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions. Mani Ratnam directed the film, which Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions jointly produced. AR Rahman composed the music. On April 28, 2023, PS-2 will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam throughout the world.
