Plot; Rocky (Yash), with all the power and people on his side, has gained control of the KGF, picking off where the previous episode of the series left off. Adheera, who was believed to be dead (Sanjay Dutt), wants to gain control of the Gold Field, so he now has more fights to confront. However, Rocky’s first-part supporters have now become his enemies and have their sights set on the crown as well. Ramika Sen, the Prime Minister, also considers Rocky to be the largest criminal in India and pursues him. The story of the movie is around Rocky’s response to all of these problems and if he manages to keep control of KGF.
Performances; Chapter 1 was enough to show why no one but Yash could understand Rocky’s macho with such precision and swag. Just make it even stronger. Creators ensure Rocky Bhai stays on a pedestal in every alternate scene with an energetic presence. Sanjay Dutt as Adheera is menacing to say the least. There is a certain power when it comes to him playing a negative role, and Dutt gives the film a real climax in his negative role. Srinidhi Shetty is too little to add to the story. Additionally, she gets a song (Mehbooba) that fills in the second half without a solid explanation. Raveena Tandon’s PM remains one-dimensional throughout the film and has no major impact, with Prakash Raj becoming a mere narrator adding only his voice.
Direction/Technical Side; Prashanth seems to have perfected the art of keeping things going and making movies work beautifully on the big screen. Regarding the script and tonality, the film follows the same path as the first part. The whole movie looks like scene after scene from a hero show, and almost all of them work like a charm. Best is the whole section, including pre-break, break-block, and post-break scenes. There is no word other than “mass” that can describe these sequences. Every department shines in this film, from the background music to the camerawork. The way the production design, mining settings, and camerawork bring out the larger than life side is top-notch.Yash is superbly styled, and the action choreography and thrills give it some whistling-worthy moments. . The showdown between Raveena Tandon and Yash is hers one of the best scenes in this movie and will keep you hooked. The makers of this film want you to put your distrust aside and just get on with it. You absolutely want it, but the process can feel sluggish and a little overwhelming, especially towards the more tiring final stages of filmmaking.
Verdict ; Prashanth appears to have mastered the skill of maintaining momentum and making movies look fantastic on a large screen. KGF 2 is a Paisa Vasool Action Entertainer that lives up to the hype!
