After 20 years, the beloved pair Mohanlal and Shobana are back together as they begin filming their newest movie. The much-awaited reunion of the renowned Malayalam on-screen duo will take place in the forthcoming flick L360. Today, the stars began filming the much-anticipated movie; Mohanlal posted images from the set to his social media accounts. The veteran actor, who shared BTS photos from the first day of filming, thanked God and prayed for success in the project, which is being directed by Tharun Moorthy and is being produced by M. Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media.
Interestingly, this project is her and Mohanlal’s 56th film joint endeavor, a monument to their continuing relationship and cinematic skill. With Shobana making her Malayalam film debut after a four-year break, the excitement for the movie has only grown. Although they weren’t romantically matched, these two seasoned performers last collaborated on Amal Neerad’s Sagar alias Jacky Reloaded in 2009. Their final amorous collaboration was in Joshiy’s 2004 film Mambazhakkalam. Mohanlal and Shobana remain the most recognizable on-screen couple in Malayalam cinema history, having costarred in more than 50 films together, including standouts like Nadodikattu (1987), Minnaram (1994), Manichitrathazhu (1993), Thenmavin Kombath (1994), Pakshe (1994), Maya Mayuram (1993), Ulladakkam (1991), Vellanakalude Naadu (1988), Pavithram (1994), and TP Balagopalan MA (1986).
