A Match Made in Cinema: Suriya Joins Hands with Karthik Subbaraj for New Film
#Suriya44
Director Karthik Subbaraj and actor Suriya are collaborating on a new movie. ‘Suriya 44’ is the working title for the film. Suriya used his social media platform to personally announce the idea. Stone Bench Films, owned by Karthik Subbaraj, and 2D Entertainment, owned by Suriya, will produce the movie. The future lineup of actor Suriya has undergone significant alterations. The film Vaadi Vasal, in which the Tamil actor was slated to feature opposite Vetrimaaran, has been placed on indefinite hold. Although it never happened, he was supposed to work with Pa Ranjith. Later, the actor said that he will be appearing in the movie Puranaanooru alongside Sudha Kongara. According to a statement released by Suria and Sudha a week ago, the film is being postponed because they want to tell the narrative properly.
The actor’s upcoming movie is anticipated to be Suriya 44, which was originally planned to be his 43rd picture in which he collaborated with Sudha Kongara. However, the producers chose to postpone Suriya 43 because of the drawn-out pre-production phase and the restricted filming venues caused by the general elections. This made room for Suriya 44 to start right away. When Karthik Subbaraj revealed the first-look poster, which showed a classic automobile engulfed in flames, everyone was taken aback. Interestingly, there is a heart and arrow carved on a tree in the foreground. Karthik Subbaraj conveyed his enthusiasm for the partnership and alluded to a plot that will probably support environmental preservation, consistent with his earlier works. Karthik Subbaraj shared the poster on X, the erstwhile Twitter platform, stating, “My Next Film is with the Ever-Awesome Suriya Sir.” Really excited about this. The hashtag “LoveLaughterWar” was also used by him.
The next movie Suriya is scheduled to star in is Kanguva, which is helmed by Siva of Siruthai fame. Written by Adi Narayana and Madhan Karky, the fantasy action drama stars Suriya in the lead role, along with Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, who are making their Tamil cinema debuts.
