Puri Jagan is doing back-to-back films with Vijay Deverakonda. He is done shooting for Liger and will start shooting for Jana Gana Mana in the month of July. As per the latest update, Puri has brought Pooja Hegde into the project as the heroine. She will be paired opposite Vijay Deverakonda, who plays an Army officer in the film. Initially, Puri wanted to cast Janhvi Kapoor for the female lead’s role, but things never worked out. Grapevine suggests that the iSmart Shankar director is also considering Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn for prominent roles.
Regarding her acting career, Pooja Hegde most recently appeared in Beast and Radhe Shyam (both starring Prabhas) (with Thalapathy Vijay). While Vijay is currently hard at work on Khushi, his next film with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, after wrapping up Liger. Vijay and Puri Jagannadh’s other joint effort The recent completion of filming on the highly anticipated pan-Indian movie Liger signifies the end of production. The movie is currently in post-production, and on August 25, it will have a global premiere.
