Plot: Dulquer Salman and Aditi Rao’s characters Aryan and Mouna share a happy relationship. But Mouna does not like Aryan’s overly sappy and possessive behavior. She seeks out a psychologist named Malar (Kajal Aggarwal) and wants her to court her husband so that she can get a divorce because she is disturbed by everything that has been happening. Malar, however, falls in love with Aryan and causes even more issues. How will Aryan behave? Will he leave Mouna or fall for Malar?
Dulquer Salmaan beautifully portrays the character of Yaazhan. His personality is a mixture of youthful vigor and calmness of the sea. Aditi Rao Hidari, on the other hand, looks stunning and works really well as Mouna. But she, contrary to her name, is a sea-swept storm named Yazan. This contradiction maintains vibrancy and energy throughout the film, keeping us hooked. Another big selling point of this movie is Govind Vasantha’s song and background music. He created a Tamil version of ‘Fish Rock’ for his independent band, Thaikudam Bridge, featuring his Yaazhan and Mouna who bond in marriage. This is a famous song that belongs to the rock genre and contains heavy percussion as part of it. As Mouna rediscovers her love for Yaazhan, her version of the same song classic her violin plays alone as her music in the background. In short, he’s trying to tell his own story instead of just making music.
The snappy film opens with a literal storm when Yazan and Mouna meet at a seaside restaurant. As a change, the heroine rescues the hero and carries him to safety when her gale threatens to blow her away. What follows is a whirlwind that takes us from her love to marriage. Romance. They fast-forwarded the story two years when I started to wonder if writer Madan Khaki and first-time director Brinda Gopal decided to put us on the love-at-first-sight express. What’s at stake is an unhappy Mouna who questions her romantic choices and can’t cope with Yazan, whose full-time job seems to speak. This lack of coherence and confusing plot devices disappointed Dharkar and Aditi, who played strongly in the film. Aditi, who has never been cast in a role that required her to deliver comedy, did a masterful job and showed great timing. When she’s vulnerable on screen, your heart goes out to her. Dharkar also plays the role of a panache and clingy husband, making you sick of his demeanor. They will Their character arc is incredible, transforming them from caricatures to relatable people.
Verdict; Stellar Performance from Dulquer & Aditi Rao, were disappointed by the film’s lack of cohesion and perplexing plot elements!
