Gist of the Story
Together with his buddies, a young engineering student solves the mystery surrounding his institution, where several females go missing and die.
Plot
An isolated home is where the narrative opens with a woman being tormented. Four years later, girls mysteriously vanish from the women’s hostel (D block) and are subsequently discovered dead. Arulnithi and her pals, a group of first-year students, muster the guts and assume the duty to solve this puzzle.
Performance
In the starring character, Arulnithi turns in a polished performance and makes an effort to dress the part of a college student. Along with him, Adithya Kathir gives the movie a great performance and frequently cracks wise. The romance scenes with Shruthi (Avantika Mishra) are few and don’t disrupt the narrative flow of the movie, which is a good thing because the female characters in this movie have roles to play and performances to make. The remaining actors all have roles that they can perform and fit into reasonably well.
Direction/Technical Side
It is Vijay Vijay Kumar Rajendran’s first film as a filmmaker. While the second half is extremely good, the first half drags. Vijay K. Rajendran, the director of Eruma Saani, chose a genre that young people will enjoy for the movie, although his screenplay was written in a very simplistic way. The screenplay doesn’t have many exciting moments, and there isn’t much to be happy about overall. The movie’s technical aspects appear quite mediocre and do little to improve the mood. The background music by Kaushik Krish and the cinematography by Aravind Singh give the audience a thrill and a sense of terror.
Verdict; The genre Vijay K. Rajendran chose for Eruma Saani is one that young people will love. The movie D Block Movie is more of a comedy than a scary thriller. D Block had a promising plot to excite the audience, but the writing fell flat.
