Gist of the Story

Ramaraju is a trustworthy policeman who will do whatever it takes to uphold the law. Ramaraju is assigned a task to address the terrorism issue in the vicinity of the Old City. The core of the story revolves around his challenges and how he overcomes them.

Plot

Alluri Sita Ramaraju, a protoganist, is a rigid cop. In Vizag, he is employed as a SI. He rejects gifts of influence. He adheres strictly to the law. One of his superior officers asks him to travel to Hyderabad so that he can assist him in apprehending terrorists in the ancient city after learning about him through his earnest efforts as a police officer in and around Vizag. In Hyderabad, Ramaraju has other intentions. The rest of the story is about whether he will be successful in his new assignment.

Performance

Sree Vishnu has already given some excellent performances, primarily in the role of the lover boy. For this performance as a vicious cop in Alluri, the actor goes through a total makeover, and he did so with outstanding conviction. In the movie’s second half, Tanikella Bharani was given a role with good potential, and the seasoned actor delivered the part properly. Suman and Raja Ravindra performed satisfactorily in their assigned tasks. A female lead role in Kayadu Lohar is more of a filler role. She has a less than auspicious beginning and appears wise, but she eventually shows improvement.

Direction / Technical Side

The movie’s script is incredibly dated and lacking in both punch and originality. A few moments are over the top and don’t seem credible. On paper, they look good, but the director struggles with the execution. Even though the majority of what happens is predictable, the hero’s attitude, dialogue, and intensity keep one riveted to the action. A personal thread regarding marriage and wife is presented amid all of these. It seems so formulaic and calculated. It goes without saying that it always has a speed breaker effect on the whole movie. The work of the technicians is distinguished by the cinematography. A particular richness is provided by the wide frames and top-angle images. Although filmmaker Pradeep Varma had good intentions, he makes a mediocre job with his narration, which is hardly interesting.

Verdict; The overall impression of “Alluri” is that it is a conventional cop drama with a predictable plot, although having its moments. If the director had created a more compelling screenplay, the whole scope of the film would have been increased.
