Alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani, veteran Indian actor Kamal Haasan has joined the cast of Nag Ashwin’s “Project K.” In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the banner, C. Aswani Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies and Nag Ashwin’s (“Mahanati”) big-budget sci-fi action epic is directed by Nag Ashwin. The movie has reached its highest level of expectation with the inclusion of Kamal Haasan. Director Nag Ashwin has assembled an unmatched cast for his follow-up project to Mahanati, with performers who are at the peak of their game as well as actors who have been for years and decades. Prabhas expressed on his Instagram account how much it meant to him to share screen time with a “titan of cinema” when the iconic actor’s formal casting was confirmed.

Haasan produced and co-starred in “Vikram,” one of the biggest successes of 2022, and is now working on “Indian 2”. “‘Project K’ is something I’m looking forward to. Whatever role the audience assigns me, my main qualification is that I am a cinephile. That trait will continue to appreciate each new endeavor in my field. ‘Project K’ deserves a round of applause, and let mine be the first one. I am confident that applause will reverberate across our nation and the film industry thanks to our director Nag Ashwin’s vision,” Kamal Haasan said in a statement. On January 12, 2024, Project K—which will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam—will be launched in theatres.
