Plot

Vineeth, the actor-director, demonstrates his ability to play characters with negative undertones yet having an outward appearance of being kind and gentle. He effectively conveys the feelings that are concealed beneath the steely smile.

Performance

With Mukundan Unni Associates, Suraj Venjaramood returns to his comical undertone. He does an outstanding job the entire time. As a man with modest aspirations, Sudhi Koppa portrays him admirably. Meenakshi, a wickedly charming figure created by Arsha Baiju, defies all expectations of a second heroine. The actress gives an endearing performance.

Performance

Mukundan Unni Associates does not take a predictable turn right away; instead, it is unabashedly gray, which helps it stay true to the genre. The movie’s co-writer, Vimal Gopalakrishnan, and director Abhinav Sunder Nayak have portrayed their lead character as a despicable, self-centered sociopath. The movie doesn’t feel packed or forced despite juggling numerous layers.

Direction / Technical Side

The film is not without flaws. In some places, it slows down. It becomes a little long and goofy as well. It is mostly entertaining, despite its shortcomings. The film is competently produced, with good cinematography and editing. It gives the presentation just as much thought as the performances.

Direction / Technical Side

Mukundan Unni Associates, is a successful attempt at making an entertaining film with their lead character as a despicable, self-centered sociopath. The film definitely has its own share of flaws, but the comedies & quirky treatment manage to hold the film uptight, leaving the audience in splits. A deliciously wicked dark comedy. 3.5/5
