List

Dr. Priyadarshan, a middle class man, silently goes through the pangs of hyperactivity and attention deficiency (ADHD) that entangles him into a series of coincidental events. He then meets Priscilla, a feisty, constantly doubtful and depressed girl. What is Priscilla hiding? Will Priyan get sucked into her plot?

Performance

Sharafudheen, who has successfully broken out of his earlier mould of comedian, comes up with another memorable performance after Aarkkariyam. Despite the overdose of feel-goodness, Priyan Ottathilanu manages to keep the audience engaged.

Performance

Antony has got the rest of his casting right too – from Aparna,to Sminu Sijo playing a Kudumbashree worker, everyone plays along to the hurried tone of the script, Nyla Usha has portrayed the character with ease. Biju Sopanam showcases a unique performance as Chekuttan and Shivan Sopanam needs a mention.

Direction/ Technical Side

Antony doesn’t try anything new with his film, which is engagingly written by Anil Kurian and K Abhayakumar, but it still is a breath of fresh air, thanks to how well it is paced and some smart humour pieces that add to breezy storytelling.

Joel’s cuts are kind of exciting in the sequel to Priyan’s run. Though a bit slow in between, the story picks up pace in second half. The climax is the winner as it holds a surprise for the audience and lifts the whole mood of the film.

Verdict
