In his feature film directorial debut, Vignesh Raja helms the criminal thriller Por Thozhil. The film was co-written by Vignesh Raja and Alfred Prakash. The movie stars Sarath Babu, Nizhalgal Ravi, Sunil Sukhada, Santhosh Keezhattoor, and R. Sarathkumar, with Ashok Selvan, Nikhila Vimal, and Sarath Babu in supporting parts. While Kalaiselvan Sivaji and Sreejith Sarang handled the cinematography and editing, Jakes Bejoy created the soundtrack.

Jeyamohan titled Thunaivan (transl. Companion). Soori, Rajiv Menon, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Ilavarasu, and Vijay Sethupathi are among the actors that appear in the movie.
